Cremations

We provide our families with a choice between private and communal cremations. Whatever your choice you can rest assured that your loved one will be handled with the respect and dignity he or she deserves.

Included in the price of each private cremation is:

• Transportation of your pet from your veterinarian’s clinic. ($20.00 charge for Mandeville/Luling/LaPlace pick-up.Call for prices outside of the Greater N.O. area)
• A numbered I.D. tag guarenteeing the identity of your pet.
• A lovely wooden urn containing your pet's ashes.
• Your pet’s Certificate of Cremation.
• Personalized poems in your pet’s memory.
• A lock of hair that is placed in a silk sachet bag.(There are a few instances when this is not possible)
• Grief counseling and memorial services at our Metairie Cemetery location.

Private Cremation

A private cremation means that your pet will be individually placed in the cremation chamber. Once your pet’s ashes are processed they are placed in a quality urn. Cremation fees are determined by the weight of your pet.

*Exotic Pets such as small birds, hamsters, sugar gliders, etc.

Attended Private Cremations are available by appointment only during our regular business hours for $125. The fee for this service is in addition to the cremation fee.

Communal Cremation

A communal cremation means that your pet will be cremated with other pets in our cremation chamber. Your pet gets the first-rate services Heaven’s Pets at Lake Lawn Metairie Cremation & Bereavement Center offers at a modest price. However, your pet's cremains will not be returned.

*Exotic Pets such as small birds, hamsters, sugar gliders, etc.

For communal cremations, the certificate and poems are mailed to client. Pet's cremains are respectfully placed in Heaven's Pets Ossuary (located in Memorial Gardens)

All cremation prices are subject to change.

Transportation of Pet Remains

If customers choose, Heaven’s Pets will transport pets from their veterinarian or home to our facility at Lake Lawn Metairie.  We will also pick up pets after an accident. Please call 504-482-7387 for more information and prices. Heaven's Pets is available 24 Hour Emergency on Call Care

Ossuary

For those who wish to place their pets’ ashes on our grounds, Heaven’s Pets offers the use of its Ossuary, an underground repository for the placement of cremated remains.

Memorialization Options 

We offer several options for memorialization. Located in our gardens is a beautiful granite wall in which your pet’s name may be placed. Second, you can choose one of our lovely urns for your pet’s remains. We also provide a pet eulogist who offers memorial services. Also offered are permanent on-site memorials in the form of plaques to be placed on the Ossuary; Brick Pavers with pets' names engraved on them; a granite columbarium with several niches for the placement of cremains; and memorial park benches. Memorial Services

Heaven’s Pets hosts a monthly non-denominational commemorative service on the fourth Tuesday of every month at no cost. Private memorials can also be arranged by appointment.

Grief Counseling

We know that the loss of a pet is just as traumatic as losing a close family member. For some there’s no differentiating the two. That’s why we provide our bereaved with professional grief counseling. Sessions are held on the second Tuesday of every month from 7 to 8:15 p.m. at no cost and by appointment. Sessions are held on site at Heaven’s Pets.
